Registration Rules & Important Information

Please read the following carefully before registering for this trip:

Nature of the Trip

This is a fully adventurous expedition, not a relaxation holiday.

The experience is physically and mentally demanding and designed for participants seeking a true wildlife encounter.

Swimming & Experience Requirements

Participants must be able to swim confidently.

Participant must be able to swim back to the boat independently, including in rough or high waves and able to lift themselves onto the boat platform

Prior snorkeling experience is required.

Guests must feel comfortable in open water conditions.

Seasickness is possible during the experience and varies from person to person

Wildlife Disclaimer

Whales are wild and unpredictable — sightings are never guaranteed.

Entering the water depends entirely on whale behavior and safety assessment.

If whales are not interested or conditions are unsafe, we will not enter the water.

Boat & Sea Conditions

Time at sea is typically 2–3 hours per outing.

The captain has full authority regarding duration and return time.

Guests must remain with the group while in the water.

Swimming away from the group may result in removal from further water entries without refund.

Trip Structure

This is a shared group experience, not a private trip.

Hotel Accommodation

At Hotel Maritim Skjervøy, single occupancy bookings may be assigned twin rooms, with beds joined to form one.

Minimum Participation

A minimum of 6 participants is required for the trip to operate.

Check-Out & Return Day

On 8 December, guests will check out, complete the snorkeling activity, and then transfer back to Tromsø (approximately 4 hours) to check in at the Radisson Blu Hotel and enjoy a warm shower.

Health & Safety Requirements

For safety reasons:

Guests must be in good physical health

Participants should not be significantly overweight, as this may affect safety during the activity. We understand this is a sensitive matter; however, safety is our top priority, and we reserve the right to decline participation if these requirements are not met.

Individuals with severe back injuries or recent surgeries cannot participate

Guests with medical conditions or physical disabilities require medical clearance

The tour is not suitable for wheelchair users

Pregnancy Policy

Not permitted under 3 months pregnancy

Over 3 months requires medical approval

Participation may still be denied if sea conditions are unsafe

Guest Preparation Tips

No camera lights (harmful to whales)

Contact lenses recommended for glasses wearers

Bring personal gloves & buff

Pack extra dry clothes

Wear 2–3 thin wool thermal layers

Food Expectations:
Halal food and specific dietary options are limited in the cities we will visit. By registering, you acknowledge that food variety may be restricted and may not always match your preferences.

Mindset & Group Energy:

Our trips are designed for positive, flexible travelers who enjoy adventure and teamwork. If you are not comfortable adapting to unexpected situations or tend to become easily dissatisfied, group travel may not be the right fit.
